Chris Marlow, CEO/Founder

Location: Raleigh, NC

In 2007, Chris met a starving young orphan living in an abandoned gas station in Zimbabwe. That encounter compelled him to start Help One Now and dedicate his life to seeking justice by empowering leaders and organizing tribes to launch global movements that do good.

He currently lives in downtown Raleigh with his wife, two daughters and a boxer named Belle.

Jennifer Allred, Child Sponsorship Coordinator

Location: Raleigh, NC

Jen is the Child Sponsorship and Trip Coordinator for Help One Now. She loves to connect with the tribe by building bridges between sponsors and their sponsored children, assisting teams through the process of taking Pilgrimage and Vision Trips, and working with local volunteers. Before coming on staff in 2011, Jen was a stay at home mom, taught private piano lessons, and served as a worship leader. She loves theatre, coffee shops, collaborating with her husband on various music projects, and occasionally embarrassing their three daughters. Jen and her family live in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Megan Belich, Resident

Location:

In 2011 Megan traveled to Haiti and was forever changed by the love of its people and the country's undying resilience. This shifted her path to move to Raleigh, NC to intern with Help One Now, and learn more about poverty and orphan care. She has been with Help One Now for a year, and she has become a Resident within the Child Sponsorship program and is looking forward to moving to Uganda to be part of in-country staff.
Megan works part-time and at Starbucks, and enjoys playing roller derby with Greensboro Roller Derby in her spare time.

Nick Errato, Director of Development

With a passion for outreach and gospel justice, Nick has worked with non-profits & ministries in the Raleigh area since the mid 90's. His zeal for building relationships and loving others has led him on missions trips to numerous countries all over the world.  When not trying to be a wannabe karaoke rock star, Nick is also an actor, and has worked on local/regional/national films, commercials and various productions. He graduated from East Carolina University, where he was a 4-year starter and Captain of the soccer team. He lives in Raleigh with his amazing wife Maureen and their 4 awesome children; Vanessa, Mia Tate, Valerie, and Cruz.

Dan King, Social Media Coordinator

Location: Sarasota, FL

Dan is a social media strategist at DanKingBlogs.com, and a blogger at BibleDude.net, where he writes about the Bible, relationship with God, and what it means to serve. He has recently published his first book, “The Unlikely Missionary: From Pew-Warmer to Poverty-Fighter“, and his new book called “Activist Faith: From Him and For Him” is due out July 15, 2013 with NavPress. He is the husband to Krista, and father to Samuel and Chloe.

Genessa Newberry, Anti Trafficking Coordinator Africa

Location: Uganda, AFRICA

Genessa is a Registered Nurse and has served with Tim as Pastors of Outreach for Keypoint Church as well as being the Arkansas State Director for The Not For Sale Campaign; an anti-human trafficking organization. She brings her medical knowledge, experience in anti-trafficking and her passion for seeing every person become all that God created them to be, to the Help One Now tribe in Africa. She loves sewing, doing anything outdoors, spending time with her family and is famous for for using color to brighten the world around her.

Tim Newberry, Operations Director Africa

Location:

Tim holds a degree in Social Work and served for 6 1/2 years as Pastor of Outreach and Director of Finance for Keypoint Church. He has extensive experience in the areas of non-profit managment, homelessness, community outreach, and has a passion for personal finance. Tim enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and just plain old having fun. Tim is most fulfilled when he sees others around him reach their full potential. Tim lived in Arkansas all of his life, until he moved to Jinja, Uganda in 2013.

Jacob Vanhorn, Strategic Partnership Director

Location: Austin, TX

Jacob serves as the pastor of the New City Church. He last served as the College & Singles Pastor at The Village Church in Highland Village, Texas.

He is married to his lovely bride, Christie and has two really cool children, Caleb is 7 and Hannah is 5.  They live in South Central Austin and are super excited to raise their children here and to call Austin home for the next 20-40+ years.

Jacob loves Jesus, the New City community and the city of Austin, and beyond. He is an advocate for those experiencing homelesness & poverty in Austin, and in Haiti.

Jon Stone, Resident

Location: Raleigh, NC

Originally from the mountains of Western North Carolina, Jon picked up and moved to Raleigh shortly after college. Relatively new to the non-profit world his drive for meaningful and sustainable work led him down a path that intersected with Chris Marlow's, and he has been working with Help One Now ever since.

Lamar Stockton, International Operations Director

Location: Austin, TX

I live in Austin, TX and I’ve been playing music since I can remember.  I'm a doting husband, a proud father, a social activist, a working musician, and a child of God.  I love sweet tea and real books.  I’m a worship pastor at Austin New Church and the Director of International Operations for Help One Now. I work closely with our leaders in Haiti and Africa as they work to restore their communities.
